Marty McFly takes the listener on journey with him as he explores the trials and tribulations of high school and trying to fit in. We have all been in similar situations of wanting to be with the popular group just to find out that the "cool kids" really are not that cool at all.

In the first verse, McFly is looking from the outside-in and trying to figure out how to get in the "In Crowd." In the second verse he is in one of the "cool kids" and realizes that its not all that he thought it would be. In the final verse he comes to the realization that the grass looked greener on the other side but in fact was not what he imagined the "In Crowd" would be.

This is a great breakout record for Marty McFly giving him the opportunity to exhibit his story-telling abilities as an artist.
